Objectives

To promote the cause of all-round, rational and economic developments in the field of oilseeds, oils and fats and derivatives such as oleochemicals, soaps, detergents, lubricants, toiletries and cosmetics.
To promote the competence of those engaged in these fields of activity and to raise their professional status by conducting seminars, refresher courses, lectures, workshops, exhibitions etc.
To promote the manufacture of equipment, machinery and processing units employed in relevant industries.
To publish and circulate journals, books, new letters and other technical and economic literature related to its fields of activity.
To assist in the standard specifications and laws pertaining to raw materials and finished products to the Bureau of Indian Standards.
To exchange and disseminate the knowledge and information in relevant fields among the students at various academic institutions pursuing their degree in Oil Technology.
To link with both national and international organizations having objects and activities similar to those of the association.
